2026 Teaching Schedule

June 12 – 15: Rug Weaving Workshop
Pacific Textile Arts, Fort Bragg, California

Students will weave a small sample in plain weave structure. The main focus of this workshop is on color. Each of you will select one main color of a medium value and use it next to other colors to see how different it can look depending on what it is next to.

Another focus will be on proportion of stripes using the Fibonacci system. Your samples will be finished with a hem, using the technique I have developed over the years. You will have the option of weaving your initials and or the year into the hem using a modified tapestry technique. I will have templates for every letter of the alphabet and for the numbers 2026. Another option I offer is card woven selvedges on your sample.
